Inktober (a reason to get drawing)

Its been awhile since I posted. Too much on the go.
I'm trying to find the time to do some quick pen and ink doodles for "InkTober" a challenge for artists to do an ink drawing each day for the month of October.

For me it's really just an excuse to get out my dip pen and ink and doodle.  I am starting some illustrations for my new children's book ideas which will also be "Part 2" of my master's thesis work ("part 1" is my book, "Grace" which will be published in January).

To help with inspiration I enrolled in "Writing for Children" (George Brown College) held at Mabel's Fables bookstore which has to be the most adorable book store ever!

We meet for classes upstairs and Mabel the cat often sits beside me on the chesterfield (see above). Love.

Starting to fine tune some of my picture book stories along with starting on character studies and thinking about the book dummies.

Signed up for both the Canscaip "Packing Your Imagination" event and also meeting up with some classmates at the SCBWI Winter Conference in February (New York City).

Very excited and will be putting my portfolio together! I'll update with images soon!
